- On her show last weekend, Melissa Harris-Perry donned a pair of homemade tampon earrings, in honor of the Texas women who were barred from bringing tampons into the state Capitol building when protesting their state’s restrictive abortion legislation. Conservative commentators predictably launched into a tailspin. (Three cheers for MHP, but too bad the earrings aren’t as lovely and elegant as tampon earrings made by Josefin Persdotter!)
