The rigors of Cosmopolitan magazine’s investigative journalism techniques – doesn’t everyone, not just Cosmo’s journalists, not just journalists, use polls in this way to show ‘85% of men/women agree!’.
“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics.”
I love their ‘Your Voice, Your Choice’ cause – https://www.facebook.com/#!/group.php?gid=23323391389&v=info&ref=ts – they’re a major magazine bringing the issue of birth control choices (or lack thereof) to more women, I was among the women in their magazine quoted about the issues I had on hormonal birth control. I’ll also say I loved their coverage of how so few rapists get brought to justice and how rape victims are treated. They’re far from being that bad, as far as girly magazines go although they have this nonsense fluff they do more for good than most others.
Thanks for the link!
JJ, the Your Voice, Your Choice campaign that you linked to looks like it’s actually a project of Company Magazine, not Cosmopolitan.
