The Tampax ad execs may have meant it that way, but I think most women don’t even know there are options other than traditional pads and tampons. I didn’t until I read about the Diva cup on a blog I read a few months ago! I’ve still never seen a cloth pad or talked to anyone who uses them (that I know of) and when I told my sister-in-law about the fact they existed, she was amazed!
Although many people are not yet open the the idea of reusable means, like the menstrual cups, or cloth pads,I do not think taht is what this ad is saying. “Paper” doesn’t win, the tampon wins. I don’t think this is an attack on reusable products, just a way of selling the Tampax product.

Why are we fighting the Mama again?
Ashley, none of us here at re:Cycling are fighting Mother Nature. But the folks at Tampax sure do hold a grudge!
